JSON models are just text files you can make yourself, edit in any editor, or load from a URL. Easy to tweak and share however you want. If you are just getting started or loading from the web, stick with JSON.

ONNX models use quantised weights so they run faster, but you need to upload both a .onnx file and a tokenizer.json. If you have a local model and want speed, ONNX is worth it.
